Screen printing & other techniques

Hi, there this forum is HUGE. Great, but Im just finding my way around and apologies if this has been covered.

I know a bit about screen printing, I have sorted out my finance and design and will set about finding a good printer in Cape Town soon.

* What I want to know is if anyone can guide me to a resource (website) where I can see all the different (popular) methods of producing tees, the pros and cons and pics of the results? that would be a great intro for me.

*Also more specifically, what is this type of print where the "ink" or is really thick on the tee, and if you iron on it kind of melts.

Thank you.

That sounds like basic Plastisol screen printing. I believe if you iron over heat transfers (think transfers for light shirts are ok) or DTG they will also 'kind of melt'.

I believe sublimation and waterbased inks are ok to iron over.. i could be mistaken about the waterbased inks.
The kind that would be the thickest i belive would be vinyl and that melts
