How can a drawing or picture with alot of colors be screen printed on too a shirt or do they use a different method?

or how about a photo image??

Wouldn't doing a color separation on so many colors, shades and tones be near impossible to do?

And in screen printing dont they have up to 6 colors max?

how do they put these images on t-shirts?

You can separate color for screen printing for as many heads as you have on your machine. There are machines with 6,7,8,10,12,14 or even more heads. It is difficult to reproduce very colorful designs with a lot of tonal variations, but not impossible.

You would use simulated process to print those images. To separate those is an art or there is software that gets you close like Fastfilms but that costs 1k and you still would need to teak it.
