When aligning your shirts for printing, how much do you allow for error?

let's say you have a 10" X 15" center chest print. You are using a manual press. You load your shirts as best as you can. If the shirt is not "perfectly" centered, how much is OK? Half an inch one way or the other... 1 inch?

I normally will check most of the shirts as I put them in the dryer...if they do not look good then I will set them aside. Once you do it a little you will have no problem lining up the shirt on the press.

It's a personal thing, really. How off does the print have to be before you don't want to put your name behind it?

For myself, I generally don't like anything that's more than 1/2" off in any direction. Do I occasionally let one worse than that slip through? Yes, but it depends on the design, the shirt, and what/who it's for.
