Looking at having some plastisol transfers done for the inside neck label of my shirts. I'm getting some quotes from my local screen printer on how much they would charge to heat press them.. But if I were to buy a small heat press just to do them with, what kind and how much am I looking at?

I bought a cap press for this exact purpose. Bought it right here on the forum classifieds and paid right at $475 for it. I specifically wanted a Stahls to match my other presses (I like that brand) but I am pretty sure there are other brands that would work fine, I just wanted to go with what I knew. I see cap presses on the classifieds even cheaper than the one I bought, but I don't care... I am super happy with the purchase and the practically free advertising they provide is worth it. We do a lot of on site events and that is like making the entire shirt your business card. Worth every penny. And we also take it on these on site events to do small bling... I've yet to make any sort of cap on it. Lol. Good luck and look around... I'm sure you can find a cheap one if you aren't picky of brand.

Ok, so with it being a cap press, do you need to do/use anything different to print on shirts? (Never used a heat press in my life, can you tell? Lol)

I have a Geo Knight DK8....I could not imagine doing neck tags on a cap press again....But if I did not already own some t-shirt presses, I would probably "suffer" with a cap press which is more versatile than a label press......Or get a t-shirt press, as a label press would not be my 1st purchase....

A cap press is extremely versatile especially for dress shirts, polo shirts, oh hats and caps Here's a couple videos.
