I need to know if there are any scanners that are better than others for graphics software.

Scanners are not really dependent on the graphic software or vice versa. You can simply scan using scanner software and import to graphic program. You can do a direct import from your graphics program but I prefer the first method. I have a epson V750 and a V600. The 600 will work for most. I think it's the cheapest epson with the digital ice tech is the 600 you an find from $160-$200. The epson software has abilities that your graphics software can't do.

Ive been using a canon LIDE 20 for the better part of 6 years. It is portable, and powered by the USB so I can pack it in my bag and take it with me.
