Help?
I am scanning a graphic from a business card to my corel drawl.
But I am having trouble trying get it to my cad cutter.
I am still learning on my corel drawl but I really get stumped some times.
Can anyone tell me a quick and simple way of doing it.
Would appreciate any help I can get.

If you are scanning, you are bringing the graphic in as a bitmap. Your cutter requires a vector file. The most you can do with the bitmap is to set an outline cut. At least that is the way it is with our Roland and CutStudio.

If it is a single color and only has an outline, your scan my suffice. If not, you will have to recreate the logo.

Can you post your scan so that we can see what you are working with?

Thanks for replying so fast.
The card is a landscaping business and he has drawn a tree and bushes & the sun, by hand.
It looks pretty good for being hand drawn.
I wanted to keep it like it was but maybe I will have to make him another tree as close as possible with corel draw??
It has green, a sun behind the tree and his business name.

Thanks, lindaschallenge

If it is hand drawn, you can still scan it and then do a trace on it. You should then only have to smooth it out working with the nodes.

You would, depending on your software, have to seperate the colors into layers and cut them individually.

I will work with it and see what I come up with. I may have more questions later, but for now thanks again.
