Can anyone tell me, were I can find a chart that tells me the size ratio of vinyl lettering on back, to size of shirt. ie. 12" wide on small,14" wide on x-large, etc... I am having a hard time locating such a chart, and I have a client who is insisting on proportional lettering according to size of shirt.

never really ran into someone that picky.

Usually we use the same size on all adults and the same size on all youth.

There are size charts at stahls.com and transferexpress.com though.

As a general guideline, I find taking half the distance between the arm sleeves plus an inch on small and below and one and one half for med and above seem to usually works. There are times, based on the design, when I push that measurement an extra inch.

All of our size charts are "upto" on the length. This means that the size is the maximum length it can be.

I would recommend that you select the length that you want the word/name to be and adjust the cap height to be in proportion to that.

That said here is the chart that was mentioned:

2 X 9.5
2.5 X 11.25
2.75 X 12
3 X 12.75
3.5 X 14
4 X 15
4.5 X 17
