I just picked up a second hand Sawgrass SG400 for intro into sublimation. 15+ years with inkjet transfer printing. However, not having done my homework that these can also be Chromablast which is what is currently installed. Has anyone had success flushing and converting the inks to sublimation inks? Sawgrass just said not possible; just wondering if it is at all possible.

It can be done. You would need to flush the CB inks with the HD inks. The problem is that you will use a substantial amount of the HD ink for flushing and then would need another set of inks. It really is more cost-effective to keep the CB for cotton and purchase an SG400 with the HD inks.

Bummer! I've been using red grid/jet pro with an Epson inkjet for 15+ years so I really don't want a pricier option for cotton. Looks like I'll just try to resell to get some of my money back and invest in a new sublimation system when ready! Lesson learned...
