I'm using a SWF model C-UK1502-45 embroidery machine. I'm trying to embroider a large satin stitch but anything thicker than 1 inch won't sew. The machine continues to move but the needle will not sew. I'm assuming this is an issue with the size of the satin stitch but I wanted to know if this is an issue that can be fixed.

Change the stitch to ceding and it should work. The stitch is probably too long

in the digitizing the satin stitch must be broken. resize or move nodes to half inch rather 1 inch. when I get clients I show them the distance how far a satin stitch can go before it starts "clunking".

Change to a fill stitch. 1" is too long for a satin. Long satins don't lay tight and are prone to catch on things when worn.

or you can tell your digitizer to set the satin stitch to "autosplit" if he's using Wilcom. Depending what kind of project it is.
