If you don't target a certain group, your marketing budget won't go far, since you have to spend to target EVERYONE every day.

I spend $450 a month just on FB targeting an audience of under 50 000 people. I get a few decent enquiries a month from it and that converts into a couple of jobs per month.

IMHO, you need to think your brand out more in terms of target audience. Do you honestly think a successful corporate businessman and a successful skateboarder will choose to wear the same shirt? Because that is what your current marketing strategy and brand is trying to do right now.....

20vk, I understand what you are saying and I thank you for your advice and kind words. I don't see why a successful corporate business man or skateboarder would not wanna wear my shirt honestly because there both expressing that they are successful. I do see what you are saying though!!! I'm still fresh in the beginning stages of my brand so I do understand where you are coming from...

A corporate biz person and a skateboarder will not wear the same shirt because they are successful at two completely different types of life.

You REALLY need to focus your attention on a specific market and then figure out the best way to cater to that market.

If you don't have a specific niche, your brand is more than likely to fail. No nice way of saying it.

Before you spend any money, please consider these advices and think 'em thoroughly.

Glad you took it the way it was intended. Hope it will help you to be a little more successful.

As an example of what I meant, on my island everyone wears beachwear. But the kiteboarders will certainly wear different gear to the sailors and those who are into "island living".

The difference is subtle, but I've not seen one kiter wearing one of the t's sold by a brand targeted at the island lifestyle crowd, even though we are all signed up to the "same" lifestyle. The brand has tried to target kiters too, but I'm sure they will fail, simply because they don't understand the mindset of the kite crowd here.

So, essentially the same market - island living, (like your success segment), but the market is divided into very distinct niches, essentially making them mutually exclusive.

I'm a kitesurfer for 8years now, and yes eaven tought "we all look like seamans", we are totaly different in style,... windsurfing is more old fashion when kitesurfer in the new fashion... same spot, different toys and different dates or weather requests... eaven tought I know the difference between windsurfers and kitesurfers, i'm a bit in the same situation as urs... I know my clients would be 15-35years old, streatwear or nightwear, citywear, beachwear,... and more.. but still thats a loads to big target to hit... I know it ain't easy to defind "the client" but you need to find it or ur marketing will costs you loads of monney that coulded been spend on a better client target or other stuff.
