Just curious...anyone other than me that spent time in Navy, Airforce and Army...finally after 25 years I decided I had enough...and oh yes..before anyone asks...I decided I was too old for marines and Coast Guard was out as I had enough water dunking in the Navy
Man~ . Who are you? You are everywhere in forum. So you do not drink water anymore? Lol.
1948 you were around 18-20. Now 64 years later. very young and active man. God bless you. Be healthy, good spirit will be with you. I wish I will be like you when I reach yours. Very sharp and judgmental.
Thank you for your service to USA.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.
Thanks Peter... you guessed it...almost...I was 17 and tried the Navy...but a tour in the North Atlantic in Dec 1949 on a destroyer escort...was enough...so jumped ship...literally and went to Air Force just in time for a little party in Korea...landed at Kimpo...Seoul...New Years eve 1950...what a party, Even the Chinese sent us some fireworks... but in 1963 jumped at chance to be an officer in the Army...just in time for another party in Vietnam...Don't you think I made good judgements???
Anyway I was lucky...lost some good friends but then I made many more and still in contact with some of my command....and so far so good...no meds of any kind...just some mild liquid refreshments!....of the adult kind
We should All take a moment... to say a special prayer of Thanks to all our veterans and their families for their sacrifices, bravery & selfless contributions to Our Country. And we should all remember that it is our past & current Veterans that made this Country what it is today and they... are the True Patriots... God Bless All Our Troops!!!
....a moment of remembrance.

Thanks Preston, and say a big thank you to your Son and Daughter.
My Dads cousin died in Korea, and my nephew in Afghanistan. His Dad also a vet, died two years before of a heart attack. He was blessed to not have to see his son pass.
However, Thank all of those who served, and the friends and family to who supported us.
A special special thanks to all you Viet Nam vets who served. I want you to know I never thought bad of any of you. Sorry for our generation who did. I was only a kid, but remember the scum bags that mistreated you wrongly.
