Safety with washing out emulsion

I'm very new to screen printing still and have just recently bought a few bigger frames to do some bigger pieces. Since I live in an apartment, I just used my kitchen sink to wash out the emulsion after burning. I was thinking for the bigger frames to do it in the bathtub but I came across a thread that says due to the chemicals this is quite dangerous and can cause problems with the plumbing. I'm using just basic speedball diazo…. What are my other options? I don't have room to build a washing station etc...

Not sure about the plumbing... my washout booth in the garage goes into the same pipes that my house does...

But if you have to you can take your screens to a self service car wash and spray them out with those

Thanks,
Jeron
