Hi guys, as the title says i have a Roland VS-640 its still pretty new and I've only printed with it mostly but now i need to cut vinyls with it and seems like the pressure speed combination is incorrect, whenever i test cut the square corners are curled slightly just enough to make the cut look untidy. I have tried several pressures and speeds but wasn't quite successful. I am using hexis grey back vinyl which is pretty thick but it still shouldn't do this. could it be a blade problem, i thought of that but i still haven't got a new blade for it. what kind of pressures and speeds do you guys use all the help would be greatly appreciated :)

its the blade.... use a 45 degree blade. be sure the offset setting is set at 45 also.. the newbee way to set depth of blade out of the holder is the blade sticks the with of a credit card thickness out.. pressure is between 80 to 110 depending on some things that you will just need to learn over time, I use to use 35o alln the time and had the same problem went to 45 bingo no problem... buy good blades from quality supplier not ebay, blade should last 10,000 yards of cutting. it needs replacing when you need to crank up the force to cut and you start getting little skips. also the speed needs to be slow for fine detailed cuts or long cuts other wise crank it up... i never start a cut and leave it.... baby sit every cut have saved lots of s ups by stopping the cut before the s hits the fan.

Buy your blades from Clean Cut Blades. You can't go wrong. They are sharper and last longer than the OEM blades. Price is lower also.
