Roland Cut Issue

I've had this Roland VersaCAMM SP300io for a couple weeks now. I use SISER media to decorate clothing. Done a few jobs successfully but have started to have issues with the blade not cutting on the hairline properly (as seen in photos attached). Anyone have any suggestions why this is happening. It doesn't always happen in the same position. Got heaps on and looking to resolve this asap so any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Tom.

I had a similar problem with my GX24... in my case, the screw that holds the lock lever had come loose and was causing the tracking to be slightly off... not sure if that model has the same type of lock lever but worth a look...

We have 3 Roland printers (2 are print/cut) and been using Roalnds for about 15 years.

1) Your cut accuracy is off. You can adjust it some yourself or you would need to have a tech come out to get it cutting accurately if your adjustments are not enough.

2) Your maybe cutting with the heaters still on. Turn them off in versaworks before you cut to improve accuracy.

3) It will never be perfect...that's what bleed is for...get used to adding a small bleed. Even what you posted would have been fine with a bleed, but I would get it much closer to perfect and then add a small bleed to your art/text which will account for small variations. This bleed should be OUTSIDE the contour cut line.
Print cut accuracy is adjusted in the printer utility software. The bleed or stroke should be added to everything that has color. Also, depending on the color and the time it takes to print sometimes I delay the cut after the print so they dry even more before the blade starts running through the ink.
Hey Kevin,
Thanks for your reply
How do you add a bleed ?
I have Heater/Dryer Settings at: 45 C / 50 C respectively
Cut pressure is at 90
These settings came with a SISER instruction manual
I'll have to play around with the configuration as I was basically thrown into the deep end with this machine. Have to learn everything myself. Thanks again for your help
Tom
That is done in your art program before it goes to the printer. I don't know what you are using but unless you are white all your colors should extend past your cut lines. That should be seen on your screen before it is set to printer software.
You can just add an outline of the same color as the fill behind the object with the cut path. An 8 point line will give lots of room for error.
