Yes you would. To recover your code from the other computer, there should be instructions that came with the validation information.
Whoops, thanks Mark, that's a key element I shouldn't have left out! Here is a key thing. You should be able to remove the validation from the first computer ONLY IF you go through the removal process before you validate the 2nd computer. You really should speak with your distributor before you take the next step.

So if I have it validated on my desktop and my laptop, then buy a new desktop, invalidate my old desktop, validate my new desktop, that will use all three validations? If so, that sux. Here is a key thing. You should be able to remove the validation from the first computer ONLY IF you go through the removal process before you validate the 2nd computer. If you look at the end users license agreement, it is based on one computer. The RIP company provides you the ability to do the validation three times. Because several parts of the software (i.e. activation system, postscript interperter,...) are based on royalities and other license agreements with other software-based companies, there has to be a limit on the number of times you can activate the software. Really no difference with several other software programs (i.e. Microsoft Office,...).
So yes, if you have all three validations on three separate computers... you will have used up all your validations. You can contact the distributor to see what the cost is to purchase additional validations.
