Hello.
Have got myself a Silhouette Cameo 3, and a heatpress.
I'm not interested in printing on the vinyl, just for cutting out shapes in one color.
But my big question is: What vinyl should I use? Did buy some Flex folie 30.5cm x 50cm for about €3 each. The vinyl have a thick plastic layer on it, that I have to take off after 5 seconds heating, then take a new heat for about 10 sec.

Have seen other movies on youtube where they have a sort paper on one side, not plastic, and where wondering if that is less expensive to use.

Did buy a roll holder to the Cameo, so if the rolls are a better way to save money, I'm open for that.

Gonna make some T-Shirts for a small club, and personal usage, the shapes will be max 30x40cm but I guess more will be smaller.

What sort of vinyl would you advice me to use for shapes on black t-shirts?

welcome! the plastic you speak of is the vinyls carrier sheet..any heat transfer vinyl should have it if not i wouldnt use it..unless you are cutting scraps i would use the carrier without the mat in the cameo and by the roll, or by the yard rather, is cheapest..as to what vinyl is available to u dont know but i use siser at the moment but there are others just as good

Ok, Thanks for the answer. Guess I'm using the right stuff then, and that there are no cheaper (good) vinyl to use.
The one I use today seems real good, washable to 80 degree Celsius. The price is about the same as siser (here in The Netherlands)
27 yards (25 meter) kost €192. I tough there have to bee a cheaper product, but guess I have to pay that much, and stay with the quality. Thanks for your answer
