Are there any papers suitable for press high temps, 300 deg far. and above, that are available at retail outlets? And the same question for suitable shirts. i.e. shirts capable of handling higher temps available retail ( brick and mortar ).

Doubtful, it's not really a product a consumer would buy, and I'd guess your talking about ink jet transfers like JPSS? it works at 350-375 degrees but the duration is only 20-30 sec, as far as shirts, really there is no difference (basically) between the 100% cotton Gildan shirts you would buy at lets say Walmart and the ones you would buy from a wholesaler, price would be the biggest difference.

Hope this helps.

Avery Fabric transfers can be used with a heatpress. Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and other craft stores will carry it. It will cost anywhere from $13-16 for a pack of 5 or you can get a pack of 50 JPSS for a few dollars more.

I tried the Avery Stretchable transfers when doing a design for my niece and her friends, it pressed fine and they loved it. I used the same temp and settings one would use for JPSS.
