Hi I am checking out a used harco conveyer dryer to purchase at the great deal of 600.00 however one of the heating elements need to be replaced. Is this costly? I have left message with brown mfg and some other places that deal with these parts but haven't gotten a call back and time is running out if I want to buy this thing I need to do it soon. Any advice?

Depends...but I would estimate $200-$400.

How wide is the conveyor?
Do you know the size of the one to be replaced?
May be you should get it for 400 instead.
you should add the shipping cost to the cost of the heating element, the time you need to install it. What about the conveyor belt? Is it in good shape?
Let it running for a while and see if it keeps going straight on the rollers.
Good luck

Thanks for your advice it is a Harco model 2411 so if I reserched that correctly it should be 12x24. What does it mean if it doesn't go straight on the rollers?
I never had a conveyer dryer so any advice will be very helpful. THANKS Kelly:D

The belt has to go straight, uhh don't know how to explain it.. let me try. When the belt is worn in it tends to slide to one side or the other off the rollers (or the path it has to follow). When you walk in your treadmill, it keeps going straight too, it doesn't go to the edges of the treadmill. Hope it was at least a little bit clear.:(
