Remote Access

I would like to be able to access my DTG printer remotely as I do with my office printers. The main thing I'm looking for is the print count. I have successfully assigned an IP address to the printer and I can ping that IP but that's as far as I've gotten.

Does anyone know for sure that this isn't possible so I can stop trying, or is there a way, or third party software to assist?

Thanks! Jeremy

Jeremy1952, our GT3 is able to be setup on a network with a static IP address. Once the IP address has been set via the GT3 Maintenance tool, you will need to add the printer as an IP Printer. There are a few key steps you will want to follow and it would be best to get instructions via our support . You will only be able to send data to the printer and not be able to pull any data from it. To get a print count you will need to go into the menu by pressing either up, down, left or right and then scrolling until you find total prints. If you’re located within the US or Canada, please fill out a support ticket, help.brother-usa.com/app/ask_ipd, or contact your original dealer if outside these areas.
Thanks, I'm all set on the "send" side I was hoping to be able to receive data but I do appreciate knowing for sure that I can't so I will stop trying!
