If you are printing multiple colors you have to use multiple screens. When you put your first screen in the press you have to line the others up to match that screen so when you print the image will come out correctly. If your registration is out then your image will not look correct. Micros are for the small adjustments when you get the image almost perfect and you want to move one screen just slightly you can do that with percision. Hope this helps.

Generally true but sometimes, a 2 color image can be printed with 1 big screen. 1 color on each end of the screen with and each end of the screen having its own set of registration guides.

And this one is an exception. 3 colors with one screen.

Not advisable though and very slow.
