Refine MH721 setup help

Hi, I just got a new vinyl cutter/plotter. The MH721, only I'm having a few problems with setting it up if anyone knows what I could be doing wrong.

I've done all that the instructions say, I've also downloaded extra drivers, tried usb and serial to usb adapter and I haven't got it to work yet.

Are there any common solutions to set it up?

I have Windows 10 and only usb 3.0 connections to use.

I got it cutting this morning, no idea what I did different but it's doing everything I want now. I even managed to cut a 2 colour logo.

If it helps anyone else. I turned off my computer with the mh721 turned on and plugged in by usb.

Then turned on my computer, opened signcut pro and set the port and it cut straight away.

Now to see what else I need to do some t-shirt designs.
