Unless you are going to seriously jump in with both feet, your best bet is to outsource it to a local embroiderer. Having a machine is not enough, you also need to have all of your designs converted to stitch files - a process called digitizing, and that costs money or a LOT of time to learn how to do it yourself. There are companies out there that will tell you their software can automatically create a stitch file from an image. The only people who will tell you this will result in something you would consider worthy of being sold is the people who are selling the software. Anyone else will tell you the results are complete crap.

If you really want to jump in, I've suggested in quite a few posts for people to look at the Brother/Babylock 6 or 10 needle machines. They are a good way to jump in without breaking the bank, they are quality machines that run forever and are simple to operate. If they need repair, they are small enough to put in your car - you don't need to pay a tech to come to your shop to repair...

Depending on your budget you might want to look at a refurbished single head embroiidery machine. If you can't digitize and you will be using the same logos over and over again you can get these done by a professional digitizer. Owning your own machine would be good practice for you if later you plan to expand your business.

Look at the Happy Voyager. It has 12 needles, a decent 12x12 sewing field and is very easy to use. It'll get you started into commercial embroidery and it'll do all the jobs the big machines will do.

My recommendations:

A single head will get you into the game but you can't make enough money with it.
If you get a single head, get a full size, not a compact.
Find a good digitizer.
Save your pennies and ASAP get a 4 head where you can make some real bank.
Don't buy a cheap machine, get a name brand.
