Ready to sell...marketing and stock concerns

So it has been years in the making but I am finally getting ready to sell some of my shirts. - I am an extreme beginner

These shirts are HTV - basic text shirts (to start)

I ordered 25 tee shirts of multiple sizes from s - xl (so 5 of each but 10 medium) same order for cut down tees

But now I am freaking out! My main concern is because I have 4 designs I want to release... that will pretty much be 1 design per size.... how do you work out your stock demands?

My turn around time for the external vendors are about 1 week, do your customers loose interest if you say there is a week wait?

I was planning to adjust my orders according to sales but now I am over thinking of what is going to go wrong....

Well, initially, your concern should be whether you can effectively reach/market to your target niche and whether they buy. If you run out of design-X in size-Y, well good for you! You see it often that a design is out of certain sizes or color options. The world will continue to revolve.

If you actually manage to sell some shirts and seem to have a few designs that are winners, then you might consider buying a cutter and press and doing the HTV yourself. Then you would just cut/press shirts as they were sold. And/or if you can justify ordering around 100 units per design, then you could have your better selling designs screen printed.

Oh, so you have 25 blanks and will cut and press yourself, I see. Yeah, that's much lower stress than being stuck with printed stock.

As far as turn around time, a week sounds a bit long for blanks ... but I suppose it depends where you are relative to viable distributors.

My customer-facing turnaround time is 2-5 business days for most items. I offer a lot of different style and color choices, and keep only a small, small stock of the more commonly ordered options. Everything else I order as needed and pickup once a week from my local distributor. A few things I list 3-7 turn time because I get them from out of state and don't want to order every day.

Don't panic too much about the details upfront. Throw some stuff against the wall and see if any of it sticks. Rinse, repeat. You'll have a much better idea of what works best for you after you discover firsthand what does not  It's all learning, if you learn from it :)

Yessss that is what I wanted to hear!
My turn around time should be fairly quick as I have the set designs and can do them on demand... I guess I was just worried if I ran out of shirts and It took a week to get more stock would I damage my brand if that makes sense... till i figure out what my demand is...

But I may use that to my advantage and market it as a limited stock buy my shirts now before they run out...

This is the first time of putting myself out there very nerve racking but I do love and appreciate your advice!
