Ready to purchase the Expert 24, have a few starter questions

After doing my research, I've decided to go with a GCC expert lx 24. I'm just looking for a good vinyl cutter, at least 24 inches and priced around $600. This seems to be recommended in a lot of other threads.

I just have a few questions if someone could help me out.

Is there a recommended site I should buy from? Maybe a site sponsor or somewhere that is trusted and offers good service. Also cheapest would be great!

The other thing is, could someone give me general directions or if there is a tutorial that shows me how to take my own hand drawn designs, upload it into adobe illustrator and prep the image so that I can send it the cutter?

Illustrator has a vectorization tool. Open JPEG, Vectorize, Cleanup (depending on image, this can be quick or take a long time), export through EPS or other file format to sign cutting software, open in sign cutting software, send to cutter.

Looks like the other items are covered.

For this the easiest is YouTube. With the right search parameters you'll find lots of info.
