Here's my problem: I need to bring my platens down on my Javelin 6 color press, because my flashback is burning collars of shirts. This only started recently... after YEARS of printing without ever having an issue. The only thing I think it could be is a while back, our new printer changed out the boards because we printed some bags and since he put the regular boards back on, it seems as though this happens pretty regularly. We did have to take the flashback unit off to replace one of the hydraulics, but we have it in the right position now after making adjustments because it was too close to the screen. This is beginning to get very frustrating. I've looked at the three screws underneath the platens, and I know the front one adjusts to make it level front to back. Do I just loosen all three? I don't want to royally mess up my machine, so I figured I'd ask before just going at it.

It would be a good idea to check all your pallets and see if they are parallel with one another while you're at it. You can loosen those bolts and drop all the pallets but you need to make sure they are all parallel with one another when you're done, or you'll have some major issues. If you check the pallets for parallel and they are all really close with each other, I would make the adjustment on the printhead. You should have the ability to lower or raise your printheads similar to your pallets and instead of moving every pallet, you can move the printheads, they are easier to level/parallel than pallets.

You could really mess some things up if you don't have a good handle on how to level/parallel your pallets, there is info and literature on the tuf website I believe on how to do this properly, might be a good idea to contact them and get that info in your hands before you get after it. If your pallets are even 1/32" off from each other, it could cause major regi issues and print problems.
