The Big Question I have is Does The Wet Cap Method prevent your print head from getting clogged? For example is your not going to use the printer for a couple of days.

And I'm guessing when purging the complete system, I can just install some refillable cartridges filled with cleaning solution and do am Ink Charge or a few Head Cleaning until all the ink is out of the Lines, Dampers and Print Head.

I was replying to a specific question
"If we use dx4 dumper instead of ink cartridges..."

But if you decide to switch with DX7 dampers for printhead, you only have to modify the ink tube, from the ink bay assembly exit to the print head, but you still use the original ink bay.
So yes there is still an ink pressurization system in place.
is there a way to put dx7 dampers to the head connected to ink bottles with completely removing the hole ink bay? i would like to know for a P600

Additional questions for those who cnange the original system to DX4 and DX7 dampers:

Do you have positive long time expirience? Is this modification better then original system (cartridges + fabric dampers) ?

Do you have problems with ink flow, and need to adjust the Ciss bottles Height?

Thank you in advance

Cartridge damper conversion is a MUST... using cartridges is a huge unnecessary pain in the ***... bags and dampers work great!

The printhead damper conversion is nice, but isn't really necessary... it really depends on the volume of shirts you're printing each day, month, year... the more ink, the more potential for needing a damper change. It's relative to how big your business is.

No ink flow problems. No need to adjust ink bag height. It just works.

I know this is old post, but maybe you guys can help. I have R3000 printer, running some of my printers with Original cartridges and some with dampers in ink bay, to be honest no difference in maintenance, they both get clogged same. Cartridges are easier to remove and maintain actually. Biggest problem I am experiencing over and over again is with printhead dampers getting clogged, sometimes like rock solid, two potential issues, maybe my bag system puts too much strain on system and over-pressurizes system or printhead dampers are too weak for white inks. It happens over and over again, have to replace dampers every few weeks. Print-head never clogged I dont even flush or just have to replace dampers. Did some of you experienced same issues? and is so is DX7 printhead dampers worth time to convert? or should I switch from bags to bottles? I put around 200-250ML in each bag and they are hanging on UV pole next to printer. Thanks in advance!
