Questions about soft hand additive

I'm just starting out with printing and have only done test prints so far (with water based ink), but my parents want me to make shirts for them and I bought some green (Triangle Ink) plastisol ink for their prints. I also bought some soft hand additive for water based ink to use on the shirts I'm planning on using my water based ink on. This is what I bought Jantex JSJT3 Softener JT3 - ScreenPrintingSupplies.com

I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet. I have two questions.

1) Can I use this softener with plastisol ink too? It says "Jantex Softener JT3 is designed for compatibility and can be used in waterbase inks, ready to use inks and discharge base." and I'm wondering if "ready to use inks" includes plastisol.

2) If I don't have a scale for measuring the weight of the ink, is there an alternate way of measuring how much softener to mix into the ink?

Thanks for any help on this!

That softener will not work with your plastisol inks. You will need to get either a plastisol soft hand base or curable reducer to thin the plastisol and make it softer on the garment.

Alright thanks.

Do you happen to know of a way that I can measure it to mix with the waterbased ink without buying a scale?
