I'm new to the t-shirt biz, just looking for some help with which heat transfer vinyl to start with.I'm looking for cost effective start up supplies. I just bought a used 11x15 Mighty Press for 100 bucks. Are there any other recommendations on presses? Thanks.

There are many of the preferred vendors listed on the left that sell heat transfer vinyl. Most of the vinyl are comparable but are called different names according to the vendor. As for the heat presses, you will need a larger one (15 x15, 16 x 20) to print larger transfers.

Thanks Teach,Could you steer me to a good brand of vinyl to start with? I have been doing signs and graphics for years,so I know how different brands work, but haven't ever tried the heat transfer stuff yet. Also, I've read a lot about the Sunie press, maybe as a starter press.I couldn't pass the deal on the 11x15 mighty press.Thanks.

Stahl's ID Direct is a good place to start with vinyl. Although most forum members say the Sunie press is reliable, www.Proworldinc.com has the same press called the Transpro with improved circuitry that comes with a 2-year warranty For $299.

Wow,the 5 year warranty sounds great. What exactly has been upgraded on this press to make it better? I noticed this is only about $50 more than on their website, the warranty alone is worth that.Does the press operate as well as the higher end US made units? Thanks for the reply.
