i know like when it comes to buying tshirts and blanks consumers look not only for printing quality but also the quality of the shirt itself. personally i've had experience as a consumer and blank t shirts i like are blank tees from stores like banana republic because they dont stretch after washes. brands like fruit of the loom and hanes tend to stretch after a couple of washes. what i want to know are when buying wholesale tshirts or actually ordering shirts what qualities in the shirts should i look for when it comes to durability and comfort in terms of how the shirt is made and stuff.

It sounds like you already know what you want. So it's just a matter of ordering samples of the shirts you think you want to carry, and do wear/wash tests on them.

I am not familiar with banana's shirts. I assume it has their own label on them. So, you can either

1) Shop various stores and see if there are shirts similar to banana's that is a brand available wholesale. Or

2) Go to a trade show, see all the various tee samples there and then choose.

When looking for quality shirts...

1. 100% combed cotton, not carded
2. make sure shirt is not circular knitted. you want shirts with seams on each side.
3. direction of the weave should be verticle..if not the body will twist after a wash and deform the shape.
4. quality color. dye. color fastness
5. collar shape and construction.
