Found a cheap C5500 okidata printer locally. Owner says it has 80-90 percent ink left. I'm debating getting it to use it with image clip transfer sheets. Any advice? Does anyone have experience with this printer and imageclip transfer paper? Thanks!

We have many customers that use ImageClip Light, Dark and Koncert Ts and repeat purchase all the time. It's all about honing in your equipment settings to the product, the instructions on any product are a guide as equipment varies greatly. C5500 is no longer in production but it's a fine machine.

C5500 counters (Drum, Toner cartridge, Image belt and Fuser lives) can be reset through the printer menu. To be real certain you have to physically look inside the toner hopper of each drum. So even if you ask a hard copy of the counter values they might not be real if the counters had been reset.

5000 series printers are very good model. My C5200Ne is still working. It has been discontinued 6 months after I purchased it.
