Has anyone using puff additive had a problem with the ink flaking off after a few washes? I was wondering if these shirts should never be put into a dryer.

That definitely should not happen. Is the puff additive a finish ink or just an additive like a powder?

The additive is a liquid, but I'm not using exact measurements. Am I bad?
Perhaps I added too much? Or... the additive is too old?

I think you have just solved your own problem. With all of these products, your supplier can give you the ratio you require. If they can't, don't buy it. Just a word of advice, don't cut corners. If you do, it can come back to bite you, in a very expensive way. If you do want to experiment, wash and re wash test a finished garment before you print the bulk.

s it rutland puff additive? if so 3% will create a suede look and adding more will create multiple levels of puffing. dont do more than 15%. you can cause flaking and cracking if to much is used.

Thanks for the information. My puff additive is a different brand, but should react in a similar way. I'll experiment.
