i am the owner of over 200,000 images that i use for making decals i am wanting to upload these to a website i create but im very afraid of people stealing my images i have all of my images as a .jpg for cataloging and i have also designed a very intricate design masking my image to be seen very well yet protect my image from being stolen and vectored but my question is there a way to make my images with the protection incorporated without doing so one by one maby do them all in mass or chunks this would help so much or maby some one even knows a better way the way where your not aloud to copy an image is useless because windows computers come with a snipping tool which means you can steal anything

You said "I have also designed a very intricate design masking my image to be seen very well yet protect my image from being stolen and vectored but my question is there a way to make my images with the protection incorporated without doing so one by one"

I am guessing the design you incorporated is some type of custom watermark that you wish to add to each image. There is a program called Ifranview (I believe it is a free open source program) that can batch process all of the images at once and add the watermark to each one.

There are settings within the program where you can tell the software what folder to place the new images in (that is the images that now contain the watermark).

I also think there is also a way to batch process from Photoshop or other image editing progrmas directly, but you may need some type of plugin.

Try Google for the Ifranview program, and make a folder with just a few of the images, then try to batch process, and output with your watermark to a new folder. You may have to play with the software a bit to become familiar with it.

Once you post an image online (no matter what format) someone can copy it. Your only protection is the watermark. Even still a talaneted graphic artist can still re-create the image with the watermark removed (but it is some work).

You may want to consider posting smaller jpg images (just larger than thumbnails) and ask your site visitors to email you for a mockup of a larger sample, or something along those lines...

I hope this helps you out.

You said decals? Well, how about putting the decals onto something? Don't post a screenshot of the artwork, make the decal, stick it on something, then take the picture at a slight angle. Then watermark it.

I use photoshop pretty extensively. It's easy to get around a watermark.

Warping an image back into its original aspect ratio is a bit harder.

Anyone with decent graphic skills can get around a watermark. Super easy in photoshop. As stated above, If they want it, they will get it regardless of what you do so don't think a watermark is the "PROTECTOR" of all. I would do it any way to make them work for it but if they want it, they'll get it. Now once they steal it, it is up to you to go after them.

i have tried to work it but its not to easy maby i can post one soon and you guys can see if its easy to you.

I agree, I batch saved a bunch of images of mine, using Photoshop actions. Simply use the record button on the actions window, to capture yourself adding a watermark to the image and saving it. Then you can use that recorded action to batch save the watermarks on all of the images. Also, I should mention, you should make sure to save your original non-watermarked images somewhere else, just in case you accidentally save over them when doing your batch save.

If you really want to be cautious, a BIG watermark can help. Try to be intricate with it when you place it on your image. However there are people that are able to get by it even by taking a screenshot. Some hosting sites block images from being downloaded via right-clicks menus. Usually what happens is when the user tries to save the file they'll get a spacer.gif image saves instead. Not sure if there's a kit or plugin you can get for something like that. Good luck.
