Problems with forever papers

Hi everyone,

I have been using Forever papers to print on light and dark colour t shirts.

I print from a Minolta biz hub colour printer and the garment is pressed on an adkins heavy duty heat press.

I follow Forever papers pressing instructions.

1. Classic and universal papers for light garments: Result generally no problems at all, garments survives many washes. Good

2. Forever no weed light, purchased a box about 18 months ago, printed all with no problems, no adverse comment regarding durability, purchased 2nd box about 6 months ago, cannot get a single satisfactory print at all! Print looks fine but when put under the press it does not adhere to the garment, tried various settings but nothing works! Bad.

3. Forever dark papers, prints ok, heat presses fine and looks ok, however the garments hardly survive more than one wash, even hand washing they start to flake and peel! Bad.

Anyone having a similar experience, or any tips ideas to combat the problems? Or any recommendation of alternative brand to use?

Thank you.

Here are some videos that show an analysis of various medias for light/white garment decoration:

Each media has a "sweet spot".

I use the Forever Laser Dark (literally) every day on orders and have been doing so for several years. Have never experienced what you're referring to in terms of the flake and peel.

I'm assuming you're re-pressing after the initial press (using high pressure) and waiting at least 72 hours before washing?

One other point .... I believe that Forver Dark, like other "transparent" paper manufacturers recommend use only with white toner printers (I have the 920WT). I've tried using it with a different OKI (the 831) and my results were frustrating to say the least.
