Just wondering if any of you have had many problems using a poly/cotton ink on 100% cotton shirts. Specifically rutland inks, either dark ink on light shirts or light ink on dark shirts. The tech sheet warns of ghosting if left hot shirt on shirt with ink touching.

Using plastisols made for 50/50 cotton/ploly blends, like EL3401- Low Bleed Lt. Green, on a 100% cotton shirt.

And for this matter, also how printing with inks for 100% cottons turn out on blends. Besides the white of course that will really show the ink migration, are there many problems with ink migrating into other colors that's noticeable? ie. printing dark green ink made for 100% cotton on a white 50/50.

Basically im asking because my new supplier only carries gallons of ink, so if i can get an ink for cotton/poly blends and it will work on 100% cottons, or if i can purchase the cotton ink and use it also on blends (except white which will need a low bleed) then i can save having to double up on large quantities of ink in each color.

Most of the t-shirts down here are some cotton/poly mix, but almost all of the ink available is made for 100% cotton. no bueno

You get ghosting when shirts come off the conveyor and the ink from the previous shirt slightly transfers to the next shirt as it rolls off the conveyor and joins the pile.

Not sure why using a lower temp curing ink would cause this on standard cotton though - if anything, I should think a low temp curing ink would reduce this, as the ink is more likely to reach full cure......?

Cotton inks on polyester, that would not be a good idea, bleeding for sure on most colors !

What you could do is use underbase gray then you regular ink on top.

Even some low bleed ink have bleeding issue on polyester.

Now there is more and more low bleed ink that cure at lower temperature (Epic performance an many others)
