Hi

I wonder if anyone can help?

I'm trying to print mugs using a Mug Heat Transfer press.

I'm using these inks....
"Trucolours For Epson D120 dye printer ink system, five colour continuous ink feed system Trucolours dye based Ciss, complete bulk inking feed supply. "

And this paper
"True Pix high definition sublimation paper"

I've tried various temperatures, times etc. but just can't get the ink to leave the paper and transfer to the mugs, are the products I am using above correct?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, Thanks for your replies

Yes they are definitely the correct mugs.

Now the inks, it's starting to dawn on me that maybe the inks are the problem, I thought because the inks I am using as described above were correct, as they are dye based inks, is this not the case?

Dye based ink is not the same as dye sublimation inks. Dye based or pigment based inks usually refer to regular printing ink for paper, etc.

Sublimation ink is what you need. :)

We get this question all the time. Usually a dead give away is when the customer says that they get a light yellow imprint on the mug, and that's all.

That usually clue us in to the fact that they are using standard dye inks.............................
