Hey guys I've done a bunch of mugs before from Conde and they all came out good. I always seem to have a little trouble with reds being deep red and one of our customers wants it deep red like their pantone.

I switched to Coastal for pricing purposes for this customer. I downloaded Sawgrasses color profile etc for my mac but I'm having a ton of trouble getting these mugs to look right!

The customer is reselling these so they need to retail quality.

We use a Ricoh GXE7700, Sublijet R inks, Hix mug wraps, convection oven.

Oven is set to 400 degrees for 15 minutes and the print is vey splotchy and not the same red according to Sawgrasses color palette!

We then tried our mug press and the print transferred better but still had splotchiness! I've never had this happen before and did a print head test and came out perfect! Tried more pressure on the mug press and still happened!

Have no clue at this point what is going on! Want to see if anyone else had this same issue!?

We are using TextPrint R specific for the Ricoh printers But we were able to get rid of the Splotchiness but now it's leaving a yellow halo around where the paper transfer is!!! I have both Coastal and Conde mugs in stock and the Conde's are coming out much better but we do not have enough for this job plus they are a bit more expensive not to mention this is time sensitive!

Instead of testing on fresh mugs you can test on mugs that you have already used if there's white showing on them. You don't have to waste mugs. You can reuse mugs for trial and error. Especially the ones that only printed 50%. No sense in wasting a good product.
