Hello,

I have been using an Canon personal pro 9000 mark 2 and every time I print a transparency to burn, I have to print it twice to get the ink dense enough. I have asked some other printers and they said they use accurip because it has a format to program dense coats but I want to know if there is another method to printing them without having to use the program or double print my transparency. Any tips?

I use Accurip, and it IS pretty handy... but maybe a few things to try. Make sure your printer is printing at the highest resolution possible (lpi, dpi, ppi). If you are printing from illustrator make each plate a 60/40/40/100 CMYK and then output your film as a composite, not separations.

Probably a few other tricks but I am not too familiar with Canon printers and not sure what software your using to output your artwork.

...Also, they have toner aids to help darken positives, however I have only used with laser (non inkjet) film
