Hi guys!

I have been searching this forum for the past couple of days and i have learnt sooo much! Thankyou.

I still have a few questions though so any help would be greatly appreciated.

My main question is has anybody got any experience with hats? I will be printing on Flex Fit hats and want to print full colour designs but i am still struggling with which printing methods to use and in turn which equipment to buy?

I have looked at plastisol and inkjet/laserjet transfers as they can provide full colour with the use of a hat press. Can anyone offer further thoughts, advice or comparisons for these methods??

I usually see embroidery done on caps, but if you check out these videos by @JoshEllsworth , you can see some different heat transfer techniques on hats (contest has ended )

Hi, I'm fairly new to screenprinting but I have done well screenprinting hats! Be careful with 6 panel caps, they will make life hard. I have done some 6 panels with success but 5 panel is much easier!

Embroidery looks the best on hats in my opinion and yes, printing on 6 panel caps is hard with screen printing. You want five panel but they are harder to find.

thanks, I have watched them videos numerous times and a plastisol screen print transfer looks like the way to go for me.
I am also going to be using embroidery as soon as i find a cheap place that can embroider onto FlexFit in the UK. Does anyone know any? Or where i can get screen print transfers in the UK?

Is there any other way of pressing multi coloured, highly detailed images onto dark caps that i should know about???

i have looked at Flat Fitty and the price for a run of 120 or 300 hats inc shipping is a bit pricey for me at the moment so im going down the DIY route until the time comes when i can afford it.

I have looked at loads of youtube videos but i keep being left with the same questions, if i had a detailed design where weeding wasn't practical and i needed JUST the design to be printed what options are there? As far as i can gather with inkjet and laser transfers you have to cut around the design, which is ok for some of my designs but not others.

apparel vinyl and plastisol transfers would work.

doesn't vinyl need a vinyl cutter and limited to one colour unless you layer?
