Depends on what the customer wants. We've done shoulder blades (3-4 fingers down), center of back (lined on the line from armpit to armpit), and on the butt (about an inch above the bottom seam). Keep in mind with hooded sweatshirts you should probably go center of back so the hood doesnt cover it. (believe it or not my competition did a couple local teams with names that got covered by the hood). Needless to say I picked up a couple new teams.

FYI-

7" - 9" down from left shoulder seam, centered between placket and side seam, or 4" - 6" to the right of placket.

T-Shirts (left chest, no pocket)

7" - 9" down from left shoulder seam, between center and side seam, or 4" - 6" to the right of center.

T-shirts (left chest, pocket)

Centered above or on pocket.

Button-down shirts (left chest, no pocket)

7" - 9" down from left shoulder seam, centered between placket and side seam, or 4" - 6" to the right of placket.

Button-down shirts (left chest, pocket)

Centered above or on pocket.

Shirt fronts

Consider size of garment and shape of design. Generally, design top should begin 4" - 6" from garment neck, centered between left and right seams. For childrens clothing, center between left and right seams 1 1/2" - 3" below garment neck.

Shirt backs

5" from collar, centered between right and left seams.

Jacket backs

7" - 9" down from shoulder seam, centered between side seams.

Is 5" to the center of the design or to the TOP of the design? Also, do you measure from the very top of the collar, or from the bottom stitching line of the collar?

Does this apply to all sizes? I have an adult small. Thanks!
