Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone knew what type of printing method is used for a glossy/shiny look.

For example a black print on a white t-shirt for it to have that effect...(not foils but something to that effect - almost like a leather kinda feel).

Sorry for being vague but hopefully someone can help

Did you mean a rubber ink? It also feel very smooth in the surface, and touch like a smooth leather, and shiny too, but i'm not sure if it is what you mean.

What do you mean by leathery feel?

Generally, curing or pressing on a heat press smoothens the ink. You can also print a clear coat or multiple clear coats last.

Try printing the shirt and running it through your dryer like you normally would do. After that, put it on my your press and cover the design with a teflon sheet and press at about 300 degrees for about 5 seconds or so. It will leave a nice glossy look and feel to the design.
