Hi,

My question is if I want to print green text on a black shirt, do i still have to do a white underbase? Im a newb and can't imagine having to do 4 screens for a front and back shirt of basic text. Maybe i'm wrong. Maybe that's the only way to go. Let me know if you have any tips that can help me out. Or even any ink type that I can get that will prevent me from having to put a white underbase. I'll be printing on either Hanes or Gildan 6.1 100% cotton with International Coatings plastisol. Thanks!

A white underbase will look 100% better.

The image of the text will be about 13x8 and it's only two words. Thanks...I'm sure it will look alot better. The client only wants 15 shirts done. And I don't think he's gonna want to pay for 4 screens. Thanks again guys.

Hi there - I wonder if I'm missing something.
Instead of a White underbase why not just double flash, printing the Green, flash, print it again, done...down the dryer.
You'd be printing a semi-translucent ink on top of another semi-translucent ink which would still result in a less-than-opaque print.
