When printing ( film, accetate, vellum or whatever you choose to call it ) do I need a laser printer or can it be printed with an inkjet printer?
I currently have an A3+ HP inkjet printer and would ideally like to use this to save cost on buying another printer but will it still produce good screens?

Thanx

Sure--if it's in decent shape and you can get good cartridges for it. @red514 mentioned a great tip a while back about running them through the dryer to darken them--you can also use a spray called 'Toner Aide' which will get them a little darker, but is spendy, stinky stuff.

There's some debate over what makes the best screens--I run an HP laser, and it does OK on everything, but it seems like most people on here run Epson inkjets, especially for halftoned output.

Note as well, paper vellum is usually used with a laser--anything coated and made for inkjets will totally screw up your fuser. Make sure you're using the right media for your printer.
