Hi,
I am new here and I am starting a t shirt bussines in Croatia.First of all I'd like to thank you all for the very much helpfull advices and such.
Sorry if I've put this in a wrong category.

I have problems with choosing equipment.
My plan was to get a cutter/plotter, a printer and heat transfer machine... But thoose garment printers are looking much better to get as I don't have to use the transfer paper and lots of different equipment.

I have around 5000-6000€ budget for euqipment
which is about 7000USD.

I found this on e bay:
DTG KIOSK Direct To Garment Printer - WITH MAJOR UPGRADES INSTALLED - Fast T Jet

Can it do the job?

I need to print on light and dark shirts and I am wondering is this all I need and will the design on the shirt wash off after a couple of washes?

I need to print designs that won't wash off easily...
I can get a termoheater with it, will it help?

Sorry for my bad knowledge in equipment..
I have found sponsors for my idea and there's millions of things from marketing, place and equipment I need to sort out all by myself.

Any advice (even for another printer for directly to shirt) is appreciated.

One more question.
If I get a plotter, regular printer, termoheater and termotransfer papers, will I be availiable to do all the work to print good full colour shirts (even white colour on dark and bright) shirts witouth problem?

Sorry for the long post,
Thank you

This is NOT a deal.....the fast t jet was introduced in 2005...pretty good for the time BUT it is based on an Epson 2200 which is going out of production. So parts and such will be scarce in the future. The company that made in went under in 2008. Since you seem to be UKn support may not be readily available. So be very cautious.

What do you guys think of DTG Kiosk K3?
There is one for sale 1 year old but in perfect condition, slightly used. I can get it for 6000 Euro.

Is it worth it? Is it going to do good quality prints AND are the prints going to wash off, cuzz I dont want that?

Thanks a lot!

Hello,

I have a kiosk 3 and i love it. Prints great time and again. But you need to make sure which printer it is based on . If it is the 1800 or the 1900 as one had problems . But the other did not.
Also if you buy it make sure you see it working.

Thanks mate, I will check which printer it is based on today, then Ill send you which one it is based on. The DTG was bought 1 year ago.

Ofcourse I will see it working and print a few samples.
The guy with it lives 7 hours from me, so I asked him to take a few pictures of newly made shirts, just to check them out before going.

He says it works great and it shouldnt wash off.

Since you have a K3 too, I am wondering will the print go bright after 5/10 or 20 washes, or it wont at all?
Are the colours on the print good on black/dark and white shirts. I am planning to print on 100% cotton shirts.

Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
