epson 1400 Printer smearing

I am new to this, I just finished my darkroom everything is pretty much ready to go. I installed my new 1400 epson, with fast ink, with R film, and the accurip software, and I am ready to go.

So now I have two problems,

1. When I ran my film through my printer with the regular settings my ink came out fine, but it was only using the black ink cartridge. Am I only suppose to be using this one ink cartridge, when they are all black?

2. When I used my print with accurip software, the image itself came out with real small pin holes, all in sinc over the who image like a gradient pattern, and the bottom portion of the image just came out smeared and runny. Of course my question is, what did I do wrong, or is it because I am using the software now.

Please help I am very excited to get started after so long and now I am lost.

I have the 1400, but not the accurip.. Did you follow the instructions for calibrating the printer/ink cartridges? How about the instructions from accurip + epson + fastinks?

Did you remove plastic from the printer you weren't supposed to remove?
Is your art 100% black (100% K) or is it an RGB black, or a CMYK black? I output a job that I hadn't noticed had a CMYK black. The film looked fine, but when I shot it on the screen, there was a very fine halftone pattern.

Thanks for the help with the pin holes, that was the problem. I knew that someone here would be able to help me. As for the running/streaks and the bottom of the page, they are still there. I am almost out of ink from constantly testing but can anyone give me any insight as to why this may be happening?

Attach a picture of the streaks.. If its outside of your main image area, ignore it or cut it off.. Mine gives some really small streaks but it hasn't affected anything.

I am not sure but here is the image, it barely misses the image, it is also a 13 by 18 film

Yea, that's NUTS. You need to call Epson.

Have you tried re-calibrating your print nozzles.. Answer the questions I posted earlier so we can narrow this down.

I have calibrated everything to the best of my knowledge, it has to be something with the accurip because when I print it using just the printer there are no streaks. I use my accurip to print because when I try to print with the printer with only the black ink it srinks the image and prints it in the corner of the film.
I am not sure what did it, but I croped my canvas in photoshop, and I changed settings in the accurip from 1400 x 1400 to 1400 x 720 and no more streaks. I would to thank you for the help with the help with the pin holes. And for anyone having this problem I hope this will help, thanks once again, I love this forum!!!!!!!
