Hello All, We are a very small home based shop. We bought the Ricoh 3110dn sublimation printer way back in 2012. Never had any luck with the product looking good enough to sell so it got put in "storage". I had heard that it's not good for it to sit unplugged for a long period of time due to the ink drying up and plugging the print head up. Talked to Conde at a show in January (we bought it from them), they said to put new ink cartridges in and we should be ok so we decided to dust it off and try and start using it again last week. Long story short, it's a no go. Tried to clean the print head and getting an error code. So the question is, what is an affordable, easy to use printer for a very small shop. I've read other threads that say the Epson WF-7210 is a good choice but where do you get the ink cartridges for it? Are there any affordable 6 color printers out there? Thanks in advance. John

I have the Ricoh 3110DN and to be fair it's quite a good sub printer. It is a standard printer just with dye sub inks fitted. Most printers will work, there are plenty on used 3110 for sale online all the time. The old ink will just need to be flushed out and new ink fitted.

However it might be cheaper just to buy a new printer set with inks as businesses make their money from the inks and not the printer. It will save you the hassle of finding a compatible printer and you can get access to the ICC colour profile. Just don't get an Epson....
