Printer not printing

I've owned my dtg kiosk 2 since Feb 4th and I have yet to see it print white ink. I just upgraded my software thinking that was the problem. No such luck. Coldesi is now telling me that it's a board problem and that it will be at least 4 weeks before they get any in. Can a board be repaired or do I just need to replace it.

A board can be repaired, but is it just white ink or all colors? How are your other parts?
Printhead
capping station
ribbon cable

These are important for ink delivery

I have replaced the head, dampers, lines, wiper assembly, ribbon cable, encoder strip and etc.

How long ago did you replace parts..

It hasn't printed white since I got it. It would however print color. Now it doesn't print anything. Goes through the motions with no ink going down. Before it stopped printing I would have to run a head cleaning after every 2 shirts because the ink would get light. It's been a month or so since I replaced all of the parts. I haven't seen it print white ink since I got it in Feb.

It sounds like you've put a lot of money in without really knowing what the problem is. Your best bet (and possibly least expensive) may be to send it in to a qualified repair facility and have a trianed technician go through it. Sometimes it's as simple as a wire being plugged in the wrong direction.
I agree..just make sure that your new parts aren't thrown out it if they are replaced have them tell/show you why.

If it's hasn't print white for awhile then stopped printing all the colors..than as stated it could be a cable or the board.

But board replacement is extreme..
Your answers lie somewhere in this old post:

Remember to search the forum for prior solutions before posting problems, history has a way of repeating itself... :p

Your problem sounds like the ribbon cable to the head, board fuse or motherboard- all are covered in the post I linked. Good luck!

I did read all of the old messages that I could find. That is why I replaced all of the parts mentioned was because it fixed someone else's problem. As far as sending it off, the only person that I'm aware of is Coldesi and they want 800 just for shipping and I'm worried that they're not going to try and save my other parts. Is there anyone else that I can send it to? I'm sure it's expensive no matter who because the shipping is expensive.
Your original post was a question about repairing a board, right?

From your answer it would seem you did not click on the link that I gave you in my post and read all the postings? At the bottom of the posts, after reading about the fuse on the motherboard, is a link to another post I started. It gives you the info you are after, I even name names.

Still wondering why other Kiosk users are not buying used epson 2400 printers. There's 700 bucks worth of usable parts in every one! Just found one this morning on Craigslist for free! Guess I'll jet over and add another to the pile...

If you need a fuse, your board can be repaired, several list members offer this service, including fatKatprintz. If the motherboard is damaged, you need an epson 2400 board of the same generation as your Kiosk board. Then Steeltec can fix it for you. Cost is very fair for this service. But try everything else before you go to the board. Did your issue of no color started rigth after a head change? Suspect the ribon cable connection at the head, or a bad cable. The white ink matter is a different animal. How often do you print? Could easily be plugged up in a few days of no output. If you can pull ink into the capping station using the ink button, the head is not clogged, at least not completely. Is there ink in there after you prime it? CMYK or white?

Let us all know what you find out after doing all those things. Bet you'll be back to printing soon!

Kiosk are 2200 based. HM1's are 2400 based. Just to clarify.
Righto, my mistake. Have both, collect both epsons.
We have jumped out the fuse and replaced it and it did work for a little bit. Now it no longer prints anything. Even after repairing all of the parts such as print head, encoder strip, cable, dampers and etc and making sure that the fuse was working, it wouldn't print white ink. It has never printed white in the link of the time that I've had it. Now it doesn't print anything. I can run a head cleaning and etc. and see ink that is coming through the head but nothing prints on paper.
By the way, the fuse is good now and it has printed since then. Only the white wouldn't work.
Let me back up and say that when we replaced the fuse a month or so ago, it would print. This past Friday, it stopped printing anything.
Ok I know that the first kiosk, but not sure on the second version, but was it fitted originally with the profiles to print white ink as well as the system installed for printing white? I know some were not meant to print white right from the get go, so did you make sure it had the profile in the rip software when installing? I know it seems like a dumb question, but some of these printers were never outfitted to print white, and unless it has the white system installed, it will never print white ink no matter what you do to it. Just a thought.
How are your nozzle checks, do you have solid white patterns?
Now it doesn't print anything on the nozzle checks. I stayed on the phone the other day for about 4 hours between Coldesi and the company that makes the new Rip Pro software that I just purchased. All of my settings are correct. Coldesi even sent me an image that has white in it and we went through the settings together and when it came time to print the page with white ink, it only printed black where white should have been. The ink lines and etc. are right.
