new printer and no ink systems at the moment.

What are the settings i need to set the printer to print simple film positives. I have an Epson 1430 if that will help.

I set mine at best photo and paper at photo semi gloss and paper size at super b or what ever size you use

You need Filmmaker v4. Try the Trial Version :

After separations turn all your black to C100 M70 Y100 K10. With the stock ink you may have to add some more black but due to the print engine ink saving it will cut off other colors the more black you put in. This will appear a dark green on screen and on the film depending on your printer. The stock ink won’t be as dark but works equally well as it has UV blockers for photo archiving that works well to expose screens.

Best photo, premium glossy or semigloss paper. There are some other settings in advanced but you can get quality films without messing with them.
