Got a little nagging problem that has come up. About every third or forth shirt almost in the middle of a print session my computer and printer stop communicating. In the neo rip program I get a msg saying Printer Connection Error. The printer stops in mid print and returns to the start position.

I have replaced the cable. Did not help. All ports on my lap top and the printer seem secure. Lap top is only a few months old.

I had a run Dll error pop up when ever I first start up my comp, fixed that hoping it was the issue but sadly not the case.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is doing a un install re install of the neo rip software.

Once the program says no connection. I hit print again and everything works fine for a few shirts then it does it again. Can anyone tell me what might be the issue here and a fix. I seem to be at a bit of a loss.

Thank you in advance.

You may have a faulty connection port. In the meantime, do you rip your projects before printing? That sends the entire print job to the printer before it prints as opposed to ripping it while it prints. That may help you get around the problem until you get it fixed.

Try a different port on the computer. Also, where do you have the usb plugged in at on the NeoFlex? If you have it under the transport base disconnect it and plug it directly into the back of the printer. Like John said also make sure no updates are going on in the background. Disconnect it from the internet and see if that helps.

yep, Eric beat me to it. the "daisy chain" method just doesn't work for some reason. maybe with the laptop close by, a really short USB cable would work, but my printer never made it through the process of printing the platen boxes. glad it's working now!
