Print speed of 782 :( I'm not happy.

- 61 shirts with in 1 hour
- 10x12 image (no BS) on light shirt
- curing time and loading included

I thought the machine was faster than that :D

When printing on black shirts what are the speeds? I'm not familiar with the Brother software, etc, so I'm wondering, do you have to print the white layer at a lower resolution to get more ink lay down or does it print at the same resolution as the color? OR is there even an option for that?

In level increments, from low coverage(1) to High (5) plus highlight ( second pass). You can do one White pass as fast as color passes ( in some standard scenarios up to 60 prints/hour excluding pretreat) either 5 or 1 take the same time, higher coverage does not translate in slower print, the highlight can add another pass ( albeit probably not all areas of a design need highlight, unless it is a solid white image), and color adds another pass so the same image might need up to 3 passes to print in a dark garment, the platen needs 1 minute 20 seconds to do a 14x16 art, so I guess you can do the numbers, 10x12 is the nicest to print because it can take around 40 seconds ( on light garment) that is the time needed to dry and unload the previous shirt, so allowing o a very continuous workflow.

Jerid why you playing. You been in the industry a while and never walked up to the brother booth and asked ?'s lol
Hahaha, when I'm at trade shows I don't have much time to myself. I did go by the Brother booth when it was first debuted, but it wasn't running at the time.

I also have someone with one about 3 blocks from me, but when I went to talk to them, they didn't seem to be too willing to talk about anything. So I left it at that.

I'm pretty sure you can find the drivers online, install them and fiddle around a bit if your curiosity still itches. The approach is simple enough from brothers part, sometimes a tad too much for my taste, but it gets the work done.

This machine is pretty fast and 2 platens make a world of a difference. I mean I'm giving 1 hour time frames for 20 pieces, no sweat, as in a walk in wants 20 , and I say come back in 1 hour, almost like old film developing. nice.

Does the Brother software have the ability to adjust the level of underbase to lay down in dark areas and light areas? Is that what the "contrast" slider is for?
nope that is the tolerance slide-bar. underneath you can find the choke bar where you select how close to the beginning of the under-base will the color start printing as in will any white will show through.
