Print size and preview Epson 1400

I have various setting user defined for printing my work. 12x12 and 13x15 are popular for me. I can set these up in my printer options but when I actually go to print and my print preview comes up the image is too big. Why wont it allow me to print the size and show properly if the Epson allows for 13 x19 prints? It seems to not want me to go over 8.5x 11 and will not conform to my printers allowable print sizes.

The media size and the Document size just arent cooperating!

The default setting to print is 8.5 x 11. Usually you have to go into properties and tell the printer the size you wish to print. I have an Epson 1400 and that's what I do with mine.
There could be a few issues at play here.

Sometimes your DPI will mess with your print preview settings depending on the program. You should make sure your artboard/page size/etc (the term varies depending on program) matches what you're telling your printer, then you should go to the print dialog and change your printer settings to ensure that it is also set up for that document size. In the print dialog there may also be further tweaks depending on the program.

If you're still having issues, you may want to post what programs you're trying to print with.

The dpi will only change the size when changing dpi. The document size should never change when printing.

I think understand what your saying is happening. If your using photoshop try setting the default settings. Or make sure the landscape, portrait settings are correct. Also if you have the prepress option checked for registration marks it always put them off the page and you have to drag them back horizontally and vertically. They maybe on the page but out of bounds.

Super B did the trick. I wonder why it allows you create your own "user settings" But then the preview doesnt acknowledge it? 2 more inches of wasted material wont kill me I guess.
I am also going to try your other suggestions. For now Super B is a quick fix, But I will want my user settings the way I want them. I am using Photoshop cs6 and Illustrator 6
Just found a cool application I forgot I had for my Photography. It is called print fab. It tricks your Epson into thinking it can print larger than 19 inches. I used it for Panarama photos. You can basically set a roll behind the printer and it will just print as long as you tell it to. Anyway. I can select print fab in my print options. Select my size I wish to print and it scaled perfect. It also has setting that you can add contrast and intensity to your photos. You can control the ink consumption too So I can boost that and get a darker print. A good find, Thought I would share.
